Title of the talk[edit]

We have to discuss the title of the talk, as this will influence the first impression that people will get. My take on this is that it should be short enough, to the point, and understandable by someone who has never heard of "hacking" - other than in the context of "cyber-crime" or other media-marketable terms.

Title Suggestions[edit]

  • τοlabάκι hackerspace - an open community for unusual innovation, sharing and thinking out of the box zeptomoon (talk) 11:40, 1 April 2014 (EEST)
I like it! I 'd also propose a similar one below dimitris (talk) 11:50, 1 April 2014 (EEST)
  • τοlabάκι hackerspace - commons based innovation, education and sharing dimitris (talk) 11:50, 1 April 2014 (EEST)

Since no one else commented Dimitris and I settled on τοlabάκι hackerspace - an open community for unusual innovation, learning and sharing. z) chat/chase 19:10, 2 April 2014 (EEST)

Content[edit]

Below is my suggestion for four sections of the 15min talk

  • a few words about hackerspaces
  • what is labaki, how it operates, what value is producing for its members and the society (knowledge, cooperation, sharing, common tools)
  • why we believe this is important
  • a vision for the future, where commons based peer production becomes more mainstream
